We were founded in 2006 and were initially focused on helping manufacturers provide better product instructions and improve product ease of assembly.

We realized that manufacturers typically would not invest the time and resources needed to ensure that their product instructions were accurate and easy to follow.  In many cases the instructions were being created in Asia by the same factories that were manufacturing the products.  The illustrations were confusing and often inaccurate.  The written instructions were grammatically incorrect and difficult to understand.  In some cases, these instructions were being created for use with products where the end user was an infant or toddler who was unable to protect themselves from potential hazards due to a product being misused or mis-assembled by the parent.

Well-designed product instructions and products that are designed for ease of assembly help reduce risk by making sure the product is assembled correctly and used according to the manufacturer’s recommended use.  Instructions with simple easy to follow illustrations can help to reduce the frequency of customer service calls, the cost of translations, and the potential for a product recall. This helps to reduce cost and, more importantly, minimizes potential liability - This ultimately provides a great value to our clients.

In 2009 we expanded our capabilities; realizing that we could provide additional value by also helping companies during the product development phase (design development, product ID, testing, product compliance, product performance).

From concept to manufacturing our goal is to keep all aspects of product development focused on keeping things simple, intuitive, and safe.  We have 25+ years in all aspects of consumer product design development (with 15+ years in juvenile consumer products) and experience working on-site at factory locations in Asia (with manufacturers of plastic, metal, and wood products).  This experience along with the creative approach we take to solving problems helps to ensure that your products will perform as expected, will meet all safety and compliance requirements, and will be able to be easily manufactured at a competitive cost.
